In China, an unidentified Radeon Pro graphics card has surfaced. The graphic card, which was discovered on the Chiphell forums, maybe one of AMD’s upcoming Big Navi Radeon Pro offerings.

The mysterious graphics card, like AMD’s other Radeon Pro SKUs, keeps the dual-slot configuration and a cover with the iconic blue and silver pattern. Given the silver stripe down the centre of the shroud, it should be a Radeon Pro W-series card rather than a Radeon Pro WX-series edition.

The cooler itself differs from the designs used on the Radeon Pro W5700 and W5500. As a result, we can safely assume that the mysterious graphics card is a next-generation RDNA 2 Radeon Pro graphics card. The sticker explicitly notes that this particular device is an architecture prototype and that the final version can differ significantly.

The serial number was hidden by the Chiphell forum user for apparent reasons, and the barcode is too small to decode. AMD’s Radeon Pro graphics cards, on the other hand, usually lag behind their mainstream counterparts. So far, the chipmaker has announced the Radeon RX 6900 XT, RX 6800 XT, and RX 6700 XT, suggesting that the graphics card in question is built on one of the three models.

If we had to say, the graphics card is most likely the Radeon Pro W6800. If so, it can use the Navi 21 silicon, which is the die used by AMD for the new Radeon RX 6900 XT and Radeon RX 6800 (XT).

Another sticker on the back of the graphics card reads “Samsung 16GB,” which refers to the graphics card’s memory chips. Unfortunately, this snippet of knowledge won’t help us figure out which silicon the graphics card is built on. Samsung 16 Gbps GDDR6 memory chips are used in the Radeon RX 6900 XT, RX 6800 XT, and RX 6700 XT. There’s also a reference to “Full Secure TT GLXL A1 ASIC,” which we couldn’t figure out.

However, the images reveal that AMD has finally added a backplate to the Radeon Pro graphics card. Unfortunately for us, it also prevents us from digging further into the memory chips because it blocks the back of the PCB.
