After releasing its first Gallium Nitride (GaN) charger in 2018, Anker, an accessory producer company has now released three new 2nd-gen GaN-based chargers for recharging iPhones and MacBooks, under its Anker Nano II lineup. The company claims that the GaN Nano II lineup is more efficient, smaller, and better at regulating temperatures than the previous generation chargers.
These new Nano II chargers use “GaN II” technology, and due to the wider bandgap of GaN, these chargers now have most silicon parts made out of Gallium nitride. Which makes it capable of handling the high voltages at high temperatures with a faster electric current than other chargers. Also, these recent models come with 20% more work efficiency and generate less heat when converting AC to DC.
