Bang & Olufsen Beoplay HX ANC headphones launched with 35 hours battery life for $499

Bang & Olufsen Beoplay HX with up to 35 hours of battery life and Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) has launched. These over-ear headphones are the latest pair of luxury headphones from Bang & Olufsen featuring “the classic B&O sound as well as the latest generation of ANC”. The Beoplay HX headphones are available now in Black Anthracite for $499/£499/€499/roughly Rs.42,800.

B&O Beoplay HX specs, and features

Lightweight (285 grams) and durable, Beoplay HX headphones feature two custom-designed 40mm dynamic drivers with neodymium magnets and bass ports with a sound frequency range of 20Hz to 20,000Hz. The headphones also have four microphones for better and clear call quality. These headphones come with a 1,110mAh rechargeable lithium-ion battery that takes up to 3hours to fully charge and can last for up to 35 hours with both Bluetooth and ANC turned on in a single charge. It has a USB Type-C port charging and uses USB-A to USB-C cable for the same. For comparison, AirPods Max priced at $549 delivers up to 20 hours with ANC on in a single charge.

Beyond that, being over-the-ear headphones Beoplay HX’s ear cushions are made from lambskin with memory foam inside which adapts to the shape and curves of the user’s ears for ultimate comfort. While the upper headband is made from smooth-grain cowhide and knitted fabric. Now for a luxurious feel, its ear cups feature soft leather and polished aluminum disc surrounded by a recycled plastic housing. The arm sliders are also made from anodized, pearl-blasted, recycled aluminum.

Additionally, Beoplay HX supports Bluetooth version 5.1 for wireless connectivity, and for audio codecs, it has aptX Adaptive, AAC, and SBC. A 3.5mm jack is also there for wired connections, along with buttons on the left and right ear cup (it also has touch controls but just on the right side). Beoplay HX can also be used in wired mode when there’s no battery left. It also has Microsoft Swift Pair, Google Fast Pair, and Made for iPhone (MFi) for easier connectivity with various devices.

The new Beoplay HX comes with a form-fitting fabric case and is now available in Black Anthracite for $499 with a three-year warranty. Othe two colors models: white and brown (Timber) and white (Sand) will be made available in May and the end of April respectively.
