Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War: Revealing Soon

The next Call of Duty is the Black Ops Cold War. It was officially announced via a new teaser video, which is as same as the previous teasers. The same “Know Your History” language is used. The video also promises to reveal the game worldwide which is planned on August 26. 

The highlight is the location that is set for the release, and that is the Warzone region Verdansk. The full title of the game is Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold war. And that seems like Activision is rolling out a new flagship smartphone, but still with not enough memory to keep Warzone. 

This official reveal also confirms the rumours running around about the Cold War based setting of this upcoming game. 

The one-man focussed teaser of The Call Of Duty Black Ops Cold War 

Most of the teaser runs around the real-life KGB defector, Yuri Bezmenov. Yuri delivered a famous warning about tactics that are used to undermine governments-tactics (or “active measures”) that include demoralization, destabilization, crisis, and normalization. Even most of the teaser is Bezmenov’s actual recorded statement. 

While Bezmenov explains the mechanics of each step, A real old clip runs in the background. Images from the Vietnam War that punctuates “Demoralization” along with the Anti-War protests. while later stages like “crisis” and “normalization” depict what appears to be the shots of more unrest, police brutality, the New York Stock Exchange, and various military technology, and politicians

“The time bomb is ticking,” Bezmenov warns. “With every second, the disaster is coming closer and closer. The danger is real.”

Pawn Takes Porn is the site uncovered by the fans from where the video comes from. The fans that uncovered the site participated in promotional ARG. 

The site updated a couple of times before rolling out the official unveil vid. Even the promotional event had various clues and videos that made a lot clear about the game. 

The one character that is noticeable is John F. Kennedy. who also happens to be appearing in the teaser video. So it concludes that the main protagonist of the first Black Ops is the assassin of JFK. But it is still not confirmed whether the game will be around that same universe as this one.

Finally, the end of the video flashes the title card. Then they listed Treyarch and Raven as the main developers and then the video teases the date for the full reveal of the game. As we mentioned above, Warzone may be the place of choice for the release of the new Call of Duty game. And the rumour is also been backed up by Activision’s President Rob Kostich. He stated that Warzone made a huge impact on their thoughts of rolling out the new game. It caused the company to “rethink how, when, and even where they reveal the upcoming title.”

Spoiled Secret

Black Ops Cold war is probably not a secret project of Activision as it started leaking way back in June. And with that leak spree, Activision is rolling out some teasers since then.

Activision was dropping Mystery Boxes as part of an ARG surrounding the game. Warzone players found nukes, causing some to figure out that it could level some or all of the familiar map in favour of a new one that reflects the Cold War campaign.

 Still, it is a big question that how will the new Black Ops Cold War will cope with Warzone. And Activision should really work on their naming process as the names and the size of the games are getting bigger as a whale.
