Samsung Exynos 2200 SoC rumored to feature 6-Core AMD RDNA2 GPUs

The leaker provided some additional information on Exynos 2200 SoC, which hints that Samsung is planning to unveil a new flagship smartphone SoC equipped with AMD RDNA2 GPU. The leaker claims that he has seen a structural diagram of Exynos 2200 SoC and reveals that a 6-core GPU will be a part of it and AMD RDNA2 might occupy the Northwest Side of the Exynos 2200 to deliver unrivaled graphics performance (via Wccftech).

Tipster Ice Universe, previously revealed that Samsung has codenamed both the chipset and GPU as ‘Pamir’ and ‘Voyager’, and now, he claims that Samsung’s upcoming flagship chipset will support a 6-core GPU, that would mean 384 Stream processors, as you can see in the pic below.

Exynos 2200 SoC to feature 6-core AMD RDNA2 GPUs

Presently, the fastest performer in the market is the A14 Bionic which has a 4-core GPU, which makes core count irrelevant at this point. When previously tested, this 6-core AMD RDNA2 GPU beat the A14 Bionic and the Snapdragon 888 obtained 50 percent fewer points than the Exynos 2200.

Qualcomm’s rumored Snapdragon 895 is also on its way but it seems difficult that it could beat Exynos 2200 which would make it interesting to see in the future.

This SoC is expected to launch at the beginning of next year, and Samsung and AMD might make formal announcements soon.
