In today’s Playstation 5 Showcase Livestream, Sony revealed a lot of news about the highly awaited next-gen console. At the end of the presentation, one of the most exciting announcements came in a teaser trailer detailing the next installment of the God of War franchise, God of War: Ragnarok.
The follow-up sequel of the excellent 2018 action game will once again be developed by Sony’s Santa Monica studio. And he is likely to pick up the journey of the rage-fueled anti-hero Kratos and his son, Atreus, after the events of the last game. If the final credit teaser in the last game has something to do with it, the two will continue to fight against the numerous gods and heroes of the Norse Pantheon, including Thor.
Sony included the original God of War in its recently announced PlayStation Plus Bundle as well, which will provide fans with a simple way to catch up on the new console series before the next sequel is released.
Beyond a teaser that “Ragnarök is coming” on the PlayStation 5 God of War, there is practically no other detail yet, but Sony has promised that sometime in 2021 it will be out.
