Gossip Girl is all set to arrive on HBO’s streaming platform HBO Max this summer. The new series is being commanded by the show’s original creative team including creators Josh Schwartz, Stephanie Savage, and writer Joshua Safran. The show’s official Twitter account has shared a slideshow of pictures of the cast members in their Gossip Girl characters’ costumes, to the tune of the original show’s theme music and also revealed that the show will premiere this summer.
Gossip Girl also tweeted through their official account handle “Good afternoon, followers. I need no introduction, but these New York elite do. Pleased to present your newest obsession coming to @hbomax this July. clear your calendars accordingly.”
Joshua Safran, writer and executive producer of the show, also said “The prestige series will address just how social media – and the landscape of New York itself – has changed in the intervening years.” Kristen Bell is the only actor confirmed to make a return as narrator and the voice of the Gossip Girl blog in the upcoming series.
There are also many other names included in the project are; Alyn Lind, Thomas Doherty, Tavi Gevinson, Adam Chanler-Berat, Zion Moreno, Whitney Peak, Eli Brown, Johnathan Fernandez, and Broadway vet Jason Gotay.
