Netflix is releasing a couple of new originals in the upcoming days, and the trailer for one of those series called “History of Swear Words” hosted by Nicolas Cage has arrived. As you’d expect the nature of the show and its host, at the starting of the trailer the show’s perfectly host Cage just screams “F—!”, which looks like a pretty fun gig.
And if you thought Samuel L. Jackson is the only motherf***er in Hollywood who has mastered the F-bomb, you should better watch the trailer of “History of Swear Words” down below:

This two minutes long, trailer providers a good look at what the comedy special will include. And as described by Netlfix this loud and proudly profane six-episode series will, “explore the origins, pop culture-usage, science and cultural impact of curse words. Through interviews with experts in etymology, pop culture, historians, and entertainers, the series will dive into the origins of ‘F**k,’ ‘Sh*t,’ ‘B*tch,’ ‘D**k,’ ‘Pu**y’ and ‘Damn.’“
Produced by Funny or Die and B17 Entertainment, an Industrial Media company, the “History of Swear Words” guest stars list include Joel Kim Booster, DeRay Davis, Open Mike Eagle, Nikki Glaser, Patti Harrison, London Hughes, Jim Jefferies, Zainab Johnson, Nick Offerman, Sarah Silverman, Baron Vaughn, and Isiah Whitlock Jr.
Also, the experts appearing on the series include Benjamin Bergen (PhD, Cognitive Scientist, Author of What The F), Anne Charity Hudley, Mireille Miller-Young (PhD, Professor of Feminist Studies), Elvis Mitchell (Film Critic/Host of The Treatment on KCRW), Melissa Mohr (PhD, Author of Holy Sh*t: A Brief History of Swearing), and Kory Stamper (Lexicographer, Author Of Word By Word).
You can stream “History of Swear Words” on Netflix starting from January 5, 2021. And ahead of this next up for Netflix will be “Death to 2020” which is coming on December 27, a documentary that taps fictional experts for commentary on the past year.
