Komi Can’t Communicate Anime Adaptation from The Studio behind Pokemon releasing in October

Update: Netflix has released a trailer revealing that the streaming service will debut the anime outside of Japan on October 21 (with weekly new episodes). The anime will debut in over 190 countries and territories in eight languages dubbed and 31 languages subtitled.

Update: The official website of Tomohito Oda’s Komi Can’t Communicate TV anime has recently revealed the first full promotional video (embed below), along with October 6 (at 12:00 a.m) premiere date for TV Tokyo and other channels.

Original Article: Popular high school, slice-of-life manga, Komi Can’t Communicate is finally getting an anime adaption which is set to release in October 2021. The long-awaited anime adaptation is made by studio OLM, which is also the studio behind the Pokemon series and original Berserk adaptation. 

Komi Can’t Communicate Manga Plot

Shoko Komi is the most sought-after popular girl in her school, but she has trouble communicating with others, as the manga title suggests, she has trouble communicating with others. For most people, she is known as a  stone-cold beauty who is difficult to approach. But her classmate Hitoshi Tadano realizes this problem and helps her to achieve her goal of making 100 friends. This Manga is quite enjoyable has with an interesting plot.

The manga was on top of the AnimeJapan poll last year, where fans vote for the manga they want to see adapted. The anime is directed by Ayumu Watanabe and Kazuki Kawagoe who directed Mysterious Girlfriend X and Beyblade Burst respectively. The voice behind Komi is going to be Aoi Koga, who also gave her voice to Kaguya in Kaguya Sama Love is war.

The voice of Tadano who is the friend and love interest of Komi is going to be Gakuto Kajiwara, who also played the role of Asta in Black Clover. From the look of the trailer, the animation quality looks great and the series is getting proper attention from the studio. An official site for the anime is also opened where a lot of information about the anime is revealed. 

The exact date of the release is not yet announced but anime will come in October 2021. Watch the official first teaser trailer for Komi Can’t Communicate anime adaptation down below.
