With the first look at Spider-Man 3 would be arriving in December, the Spider-Man universe keeps on expanding. As reports are claiming that past Spidey cast members can reprise their role for the upcoming Spider-Man movie, including Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker, Kirsten Dunst as MJ, and Alfred Molina as Otto Octavius. While negotiations are also undergoing with Tobey Maguire and Emma Stone to return to the film franchise.
After Jared Leto has revealed that his upcoming movie Morbius is a part of the “expanding-universe” of Spider-Man and that Michael Keaton who played The Vulture in Spider-Man: Homecoming will also be arriving in the movie. One can easily guess that the live-action Spider-Verse is coming to life soon. And also with Spider-Man 3 sees the return of Jamie Foxx as Electro, Alfred Molina (who has been spotted on the set) as Doctor Octopus, we can hope to see a live-action Sinister Six as Vulture, Shocker, Scorpion, and Mysterio are already there.
There are some rumors that Miles Morales can also join the “expanding-universe”, but there’s no word yet from Sony on this. However, the stars of the previous two film series (Garfield and Maguire’s) would be joining the current Spider-Man, Tom Holland, and MJ, Zendaya in an untitled Spider-Man movie directed by Jon Watts currently dated for Dec. 17, 2021 release.
Benedict Cumberbatch will also be there in Spider-Man 3 as Doctor Strange, as reported in October. The Master of Mystique Arts will join Peter Parker as a new mentor, following the death of Tony Stark/Iron Man.
