Marvel Studios might be planning to expand its limited series run for the streaming service Disney Plus. As reports are surfacing that Loki Season 2 is already in development, despite its first season has yet to be aired.

As reported by Deadline, Michael Waldron, after serving as a head writer and exec producer for the upcoming first season of Loki and penning down the Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (looks like Disney are big fans of Waldron), is being hired to write Kevin Feige’s Star Wars movie. And as a part of that impending deal for Waldron with Disney, he’s also expected to be involved in Loki Season 2 in some capacity.

Loki: The Disney + series already renewed for a season 2

Meaning that the upcoming series starring Tom Hiddleston as Loki – The God Mischief, could be an ongoing show with more than one season.

While it’s not clear if Michael Waldon will be returning for Loki Season 2, we still have a May 2021 release window for first season of the show with its very first look, which honestly looks spectacular.

The show is set to feature Loki as his earlier self from the time of 2012’s The Avengers, who secretly use the Tesseract during one of the time heists in Avengers: Endgame and ran away. The show will tell us what Loki is up for or what he is doing after being captured by the Time Variance Authority (TVA).

And with Wandavision set to be released on January 15, as a nine-episode series with two episodes of 30 minutes premiering on the first day and Falcon and the Winter Soldier debuting as a six-episode miniseries after it in March and then many upcoming TV series and movies. This year seems to be a busy one for Marvel‘s fans and much need one I say after not getting even a single release from them in 2020.
