Hailee Steinfeld is playing Kate Bishop (which is yet to be officially announced) in the upcoming Marvel‘s Disney Plus Hawkeye series has been confirmed by some new photos leaked from the show’s set.
A tweet by XRealm Matthews on Wednesday, including some high-res images from the Hawkeye’s set. Featuring Hailee Steinfeld in Kate Bishop’s signature purple costume and holding a bow, confirming that Steinfeld is playing the role of Bishop (that teased previously in her cryptic Insta post) alongside Jeremy Renner’s Clint Barton aka Hawkeye.
Jeremy Renner has previously confirmed the shooting by his Instagram post with a pic of his Clint Barton-labeled chair on set and captioned as “Ms. Bishop … we need you!”
Who is Kate Bishop’s sidekick Lucky “The Pizza Dog” ?
XRealm Matthews has also given us our first look at, Lucky “The Pizza Dog”, who is the real star of the show. He is a character in the Marvel comics, which first appeared when Clint Barton saves him. He was named Arrow before, but Clint changed his name to Lucky. An issue entirely devoted to Lucky’s point of view reveals that he calls himself Pizza Dog (simply because of his love of a New York slice).
You can add Pizza Dog to the list of greatest Marvel characters you’ve never heard of. Which was revealed to be in the series via concept art from a 12-minute Disney Plus video called Marvel Studios: Expanding the Universe (thanks IGN).
If you weren’t excited (we know you are) for the new series, which is expected to arrive on Disney Plus in late-2021 (alongside WandaVision which will release its first episode on January 15, 2021), an adorable pup (Lucky) could be a drawcard for you. Otherwise, stay tuned in to see the journey of Kate Bishop taking over the mantle of Masterarcher Clint Barton aka Hawkeye.
