Zack Synder has revealed that he is interested in making an anime movie, especially a Dragon Ball Z movie. In his recent interview with Tyron Magnus on Youtube, Zack Snyder was asked if he is interested in directing an anime movie, specifically a “Dragon Ball Z movie”. Zack Snyder replied,
“Yeah, I would consider that. I mean, if it came around, but definitely I would do an anime remake or live-action. That would be fun because I love animation and I’ve been watching a fair amount. I watch a ton of anime with my kid who’s too young to watch it, but we watch it anyway.”
The Director is no stranger to adapting comic book properties, and his works often have that anime aesthetics to them. His movies like 300, Sucker Punch, or Watchmen were clearly stylized and had an anime-like approach to them.
Even his recent movie Army of the Dead is going to have an animated anime-like spin-off. The title of the spin-off is Army of the Dead: Lost Vegas and its two episodes will be directed by Snyder Himself. This official prequel series will be coming to Netflix in the near future.
With the success of Zack Snyder’s Justice League, his past work, and his directing style, it is a no-brainer that Zack Syder is a perfect fit for directing an anime movie or a live-action Dragon Ball Z movie.
