Friends Reunion special episode wraps filming, will stream later this year on HBO Max

The Wait is Over! The highly anticipated “Friends Reunion” is really happening, and post by F.R.I.E.N.D.S official Instagram account along with a now-deleted Instagram post by Actor Matthew Perry, best for playing Chandler Bing in the iconic sitcom “Friends”, from the set of the show proves it. The unscripted one-hour special episode set to stream on HBO Max will bring the OG cast of popular sitcom back together on screen.

On Saturday, Matthew Perry (Chandler) posted a silly picture of himself in a makeup chair from his green room of the upcoming reunion special of the show. The actor captioned the post with trademark Chandler Bing wit. “Seconds before eating a makeup brush. Not to mention reuniting with my friends.” After few minutes, the post was quickly taken down, but that doesn’t stop fans from sharing it on the Internet making it viral.

Not only Perry shared the BTS pics but Andrea Bendewald, one of Jennifer Aniston’s oldest friends, also took her Instagram and shared pictures of sipping on coffee on the set in Central Perk (Warner Bros. Studio.), and giving a glimpse of the famous couch from the show in a now-deleted post.

The official Instagram account of F.R.I.E.N.D.S also posted a pic to announce that the reunion had wrapped. The caption read, “That’s a wrap! Could we BE anymore excited!? Friends: The Reunion is coming to @hbomax. #friendsreunion.”

The highly anticipated Friends Reunion was first set to be filmed in March 2020 with a live audience and was expected to be aired in 2020. But due to the coronavirus pandemic got delayed. Also David Schwimmer (Ross), recently appeared on The Graham Norton Show and re-confirmed that

“We’re not in character … we’re all ourselves, the real people,” he said before teasing, “But there is one section, I don’t want to give away — where we all read something.”

Friends, one of the most popular and iconic sitcoms of all time, had 10 seasons in total aired from 1994 to 2004. The Friends Reunion special episode is set to bring OG cast: Jennifer Aniston (Rachel Green), Courteney Cox (Monica Geller), Matthew Perry (Chandler Bing), David Schwimmer (Ross Geller), Lisa Kudrow (Phoebe Buffay), and Matt Le Blanc (Joey Tribbiani), back together. The Friends Reunion will be one hour long and is expected to stream later this year exclusively on HBO Max.
