Marshall Bruce Mathews professionally known as EMINEM is known as the RAP GOD. He was born in Saint Joseph, Missouri, the United States on October 17, 1972. He is a music artist by profession. Eminem an American rapper who is also a songwriter and a record producer. The known fact about Eminem is that he is the FASTEST RAPPER in the world. He is one of the most successful musical artists in the 21st century. Basically, he is a HIP-HOP MUSICIAN.

EMINEM’S CHILDHOOD

Eminem in his childhood has suffered a lot. His childhood has been spent in poverty. He had a turbulent childhood with allegations of abuse. If we talk about his education, he had left his school in the 9th grade due to bad financial status and had to work in odd jobs. His father left him and his mother when he was just a few months old. Also, his mother to our surprise was just 15 herself when he was in her womb.

START OF EMINEM’S CAREER

Eminem started rapping at the age of 4. But he took rapping seriously at 14 years of age and when he was 17 years old, he had already made an identity for himself. But it was not so easy for him to do so. He was rejected being a white rapper by the hip-hop community which mostly had black rappers. He struggled hard, often participated in rap battles, used radio shows as an opportunity to establish himself. It was not at all easy for him but he kept trying and proved himself.

After constant hard work, he started getting offers to join the groups. He joined NEW JACKS, then the SOUL INTENT. In 1996 Eminem recorded his first album “INFINITE” just for reviews. But his “THE SLIM SHADY EP” proved to be the turning point in his life.

EMINEM’S RELATIONS WITH MOTHER

Eminem’s mother was DEBBIE MATHERS. Eminem did not have very good relations with his mother. His mother was a drug addict, who did not pay attention to him throughout his childhood. He was left alone and missed all the love, care, and attention of his mother. His mother did not care when he even left his school. From then he almost hated his mother.

But after years passed, he has understood that he can not completely blame his mother. According to the Mel Magazine Eminem said “Whenever something good happens, the bad always follows. That’s the story of my life since the day I was born.”

It is clear that his relations with his mother were not at all good. But the world was unaware of this until he used his past experiences and emotions as lyrics for his song. The song ‘CLEANIN’ OUT MY CLOSET’ was the one in which he was seen putting allegations on his mother about being self-centered and not giving him that love and care which he deserved. This song was completely based on his emotions, anger, and resentment towards his mother for not being with him when he needed her. One of the lines of his song is:

The RAP GOD suffered a lot due to his mother in his childhood and poured all his emotions as lyrics of his song. He brutally talked about his mother and so his mother in1999, filed a lawsuit against the rapper Eminem for a sum of 10 million dollars. she claimed that the Hip Hop star slandered her by telling her that she was an unstable drug abuser.

In response to this Eminem’s lawyer said that “Eminem’s life is reflected in his music. Everything he has said can be verified as true. Truth is an absolute defense to a claim of defamation. This lawsuit does not come as a surprise to Eminem. His mother has been threatening to sue him since the success of his single ‘My Name Is…’ It is merely the result of a lifelong strained relationship between him and his mother. Regardless, it is still painful to be sued by your mother and therefore the lawsuit will only be dealt with through legal channels.”

EMINEM’S WAY TO APOLOGISE

In 2013 Eminem released a song named “HEADLIGHTS”. This song served as an apology to Eminem’s mother Debbie for whatever he said about her in the song “CLEANIN’ OUT MY CLOSET”. This song was released on Mother’s Day all dedicated to his mother and said sorry for whatever hurtful things he had spoken about her in the past.

“I just want to give him a big hug, mama is waiting with open arms,” said Debbi’s to MLive. It was proved that his mother wants to repair her relations with his son and said he wants to meet her he knows how to do so.
