Anime game is often related to shonen and is true to some extent with every going year we encounter 6/10 anime from the shonen genre itself. Among these years we have learned to attach this genre to its overly cheerful, heroic, and occasionally clumsy protagonist. They arrive to save the day even if they are dumb as a group of teens. These notorious characters aren’t the sole representative of the wide demography of this genre however experiencing Goku, Luffy, Natsu, and Naruto, etc. we are left with this conclusion. Today our take is on such ‘just-act-immature’ protagonist from the shonen anime world.
#5 Black Star (Soul Eater)

He hopes that one day he can have enough strength that he can stand at the pinnacle as the most powerful being in the world and his plan for doing so is screaming a lot and generally foregoing any sense of stealth. It’s impossible not to be charmed by his enthusiasm but it is no secret that this meister has more shuriken than brain cells. Maybe he would manage to take out more bad guys along the way if he didn’t feel the need to announce his arrival before every fight.
#4 Saitama (One Punch Man)

Saitama (One Punch Man) is the embodiment of the word ‘Heedless’. He is good at understanding people but requires a good amount of time. Even though his whole purpose is devoting his life to heroism, he completely missed registering himself with the Hero Association.
#3 Naruto Uzumaki (Naruto)

Naruto Uzumaki has really come a long way. Nowadays, he is the leader of his village but his early days were not so glorious. He was slowly trying to get his grasp on ninjutsu and other social norms. He flunked out of the academy 3 times before graduating. For a while there, the only thing he was good at was: transforming him into a naked woman.
#2 Monk D Luffy (One Piece)

He may be a great fighter and an ambitious leader, but he doesn’t understand a thing about the world around him not that he is incapable but he takes no interest in such stuff. He has taken down would-be Gods, spat on the face of the rulers, declared war on every government, took on whole armies, and even once tried to stop from crushing an entire civilization with mere punches. Luffy will go down as one of if not the greatest anime protagonist but it can’t be denied that the world consequence doesn’t exist in his vocabulary. The only thing in his mind: friends, food, and adventure.
#1 Son Goku (Dragon Ball)

Usually, Goku is blamed for introducing the fashion of likeable but nincompoop Shonen heroes. When it comes to martial arts, transforming and saving the universe from extinction, Goku is a genius but other than that he is a light bulb in the wide stretch of forest. Growing up in the jungle, away from the civilization did the Saiyan warrior no favours. He can’t drive, can’t manage a radish farm, he even used the rarest artefact in the world for his son’s hat. Though his fighting skills have made him one of the greatest fighters in the entire universe but smarts in other areas, no existence!
[…] Goku and Vegeta spent an undisclosed time in training on Lord Beerus’s planet where Goku is learning more about the Ultra Instinct from Whis. Ultra Instinct is one of the techniques reserved by the angels. Whis tells Goku that Ultra Instinct is more of a ‘State of Mind’ than a transformation and taught him to use it in normal form. […]
